At least three passengers have survived the crash of PIA flight PK 8303 in Karachi. Among them are the CEOs of Bank of Punjab and Pak PSU Urban Unit.

A Pakistani flight carrying around 100 people onboard has crashed over a residential colony moments before landing at the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi. The flight PIA PK 8303, coming from Lahore, crashed landed due to a suspected technical difficulty.
While there is no official figure on casualties or injuries in the crash, social media posts confirm the survival of at least three people.
Zafar Masood, CEO Bank of Punjab, has survived in the Karachi plane crash. He is injured and admitted in Agha Khan Hospital. As per the list of passengers on the flight, Zafar Masood was travelling on seat number 1C.
Visuals shared on social media by a Pak journalist show locals carrying Zafar Masood away from the crash site, while plane’s remains were still on fire.

Another passenger who has survived the crash is Khalid Sherdil, who was travelling on seat number 1F.
Khalid Sherdil is the CEO of the Urban Unit – a public sector company in Pakistan. In the past, Sherdil has also served as Director-General Punjab Disaster Management Authority.
A young man, named Ammar Rashid – seat no 20F, has also survived the crash. His family has confirmed the news on social media.

According to various unconfirmed reports in local media, anywhere between 14 to 40 passengers have survived. Visuals on local channels showed rescue workers taking people to hospitals. However, these injured could also be among the residents of Modern Colony where the plane crashed.
