Saqib Saleem’s lockdown cooking diaries look quite tempting.
The period of lockdown has witnessed the birth of many chefs. A number of people have taken to cooking, whether out of necessity or just for experimentation. Celebrities too have been whipping up some amazing dishes in their kitchens – from banana bread to chocolate cake and to delicious South Indian food. ’83 actor Saqib Saleem is the latest celebrity to join the bandwagon of lockdown cooking on social media. His tryst in the kitchen began on Eid with a delectable Biryani that he made all by himself.

The first stop on Saqib Saleem’s cooking expedition was an aromatic and flavourful Biryani. “Chef Saleem in the house… waise it’s not like I could be anywhere else,” he wrote in the caption of the Instagram post. Biryani is not one of the easier recipes to make by yourself, especially if you are cooking for the first time. But with a little help from his mother on video call and a careful process, Saqib Saleem nailed the recipe with effortless grace.
This wasn’t the only video that Saqib Saleem shared. He posted another video on his Instagram profile – this time taking up the challenge of cooking two dishes at once. “A-mature chef saleem,” he wrote in the caption of his latest video in which he can be seen making Bhindi Masala and Chicken Keema. Saqib Saleem’s videos have been winning the internet. People have poured in their praises for the actor’s novice cooking, requesting him to cook for them too. His sister Huma Qureshi also felt proud of him, saying in the post’s comments, “I’m crying right now … tears of joy. He actually cooks pretty well guys.” To this, Saqib hilariously responded by saying, “I am better than you.” We hope to see many more such glimpses from the actor’s foodie diaries, and we wish him luck for his future food preparations!
