Significance Of Sharad Purnima, Kojagari Purnima
Deemed to be one of the most auspicious days on the Hindu calendar, this day is celebrated with different beliefs in different parts of India. While people in Bengal worship Goddess Laxmi on this day, Gujaratis worship the moon God for health and prosperity. As per Drik Panchang, Sharad Purnima is celebrated as Raas Purnima in the Brij region. It is believed Lord Krishna performed Maha-Raas with his Gopis on this day.

As per the tradition people fast for the whole day and prepare bhog to offer God. While some perform nirjala fast, others consume coconut water, fruits and fruits during the fast.
