Government Has No Ego, Says Agriculture Minister After 7-Hour Meet With Farmers


Farmers protest: Narendra Singh Tomar met with farmers today to discuss the farm laws

New Delhi:

The seven-hour meeting between the farmers and the Centre was conducted in a “cordial atmosphere”, Union agriculture minister Narendra Tomar said, adding that the government has “no ego”. The next meeting will be held on Saturday. Farmers had warned that today’s meeting was the government’s “last chance” to call a special session of Parliament and repeal the three contentious laws.
