Rohit Sharma trolls Yuzvendra Chahal’s fielding skills in funny Instagram post

India opener and vice-captain Rohit Sharma poked fun at his good friend Yuzvendra Chahal’s fielding skills with a video on social media.

Rohit Sharma, during an indoor training session, aped Yuzvendra Chahal’s fielding style by jumping all around his room.

“That’s my little boy Chahal when he is fielding (jumping all around),” Rohit Sharma wrote as a caption.

Rohit Sharma has never shied away from having a go at Yuzvendra Chahal. The two India stars have often flaunted their camaraderie. Chahal has been a constant presence in the comments section of Rohit’s Instagram live sessions with fellow cricketers during the lockdown.

In fact, Jasprit Bumrah and Rohit Sharma combined to pull Chahal’s leg during an Instagram live session when the India leg-spinner asked if Mumbai Indians were missing him. Chahal, who plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore, spent time at MI before making the move to the Virat Kohli-led Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise.

Rohit and Bumrah poked fun at the question, saying they will let Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and its captain (Virat Kohli) know about the question.

“Tell him this message will go to RCB,” Rohit Sharma said responding to the question.

“We will tell his captain. That means he wants to come back,” Bumrah said.

“If we were not able to win, then we would have missed him, we are winning. Why would we miss him? Chahal, you stay in Bangalore. Good for you,” Rohit said.

Earlier this year, Rohit had shared a shirtless photo of former WWE star Dwayne Johnson a.k.a ‘The Rock’ and compared it to one of Chahal’s photos where the India spinner can be seen flaunting his tattoo.

Rohit Sharma has been trying to keep himself busy by involving in household chores and spending time with his family during the lockdown. While a few India cricketers, including Shardul Thakur and R Ashwin, have begun individual outdoor training after the restrictions were eased in the 4th phase of the lockdown in the country, the likes of Rohit and Virat Kohli are still limited to doing indoor training.

The Board of Control of Cricket in India said it will wait for further updates from the government before beginning to work on a plan to organise skill-based training camp for its contracted players.
