Supreme Court: Prashant Bhushan has been held guilty of contempt for tweets against judiciary

New Delhi:

Senior lawyer Prashant Bhushan has been held guilty of contempt for his two tweets on Chief Justice of India SA Bobde and his four predecessors. Sentencing is on August 20. One of his tweets alleged the judiciary did nothing to save democracy and the other criticised Chief Justice Bobde for keeping the courts shut during the lockdown necessitated by the coronavirus pandemic.
