A soldier was killed in the line of duty as the Indian Army foiled a major infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Three terrorists were also gunned down in the anti-terror operation in the Machil sector of the north Kashmir district.
The encounter started after Army and BSF intercepted a group of heavily armed infiltrators along the LoC and challenged the intruders, leading to a gunfight in which the terrorists were gunned down.
